Custom molded self clamping mechanism in mold ready to be encapsulated in rubber to create a z-notch grit blast mask.Self clamping z notch grit blast mask. Custom molded, Shore A 95 urethane holding fixture for robotic arm pick up & placement of part to be processed.Custom molded robotic arm clamps hold part during grit blast operation.  Clamps mask areas to be protected when holding part.Robotic arm clamps manufactured from high durometer urethane.  Clamps incorporate replaceable masking wear zones for increased economics.

Compression clip slips into mask to prevent media from entering mask parting lines.Urethane grit blast mask for vane inner & outer shroud protection.  Both inner & outer shroud masks incorporate replaceable wear zone elements to increase mask economics.Molded nipple & socket snap technology securely holds the mask together during operator handling and machine processing.Molded parting lines allows metal parts to be easily placed and removed from the mask increasing line speed while reducing technician fatigue.Registration dams help locate multiple mask pieces together & keep media out of parting lines.Protection sleeve (yellow) is produced from soft urethane and protects the airfoil core from peening media infiltration.  The blue rubber mask incorporates the blade & the protective sleeve together in the design.
